MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS

EEAC is managed by its committee, a group of volunteers who lend their time and experience to the Centre’s governance.

Committee Officers

Gera Drymer (Chair)

Gera was born in Poland and has lived in the UK since 1983. She has an MA in English Literature, a Post Graduate Diploma in Housing Studies and a certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling. Her interests include opera, classical music and walking. She has been involved with the EEAC since 1997.

Donald Kenrick (Vice chair)

Donald was born in the United Kingdom. His professional career has been in the teaching of languages to adults and community education. Alongside this he has since 1965 worked in a voluntary capacity as an advisor to Gypsy civil rights organisations. He obtained a doctorate for his study of a Romani dialect and has written widely on the language and the Roma's position in society. His interests include folk music. He has been a member of the EEAC committee since 1999.

Brian Reed (Secretary)

Brian was born in Yorkshire, but lived for some years in Italy. His professional career was spent in further education, latterly as assistant principal of a college in Greenwich. He was also an advisory lecturer for two years, working with schools and colleges throughout inner London. He is qualified teacher, with an MA in Educational Studies.

Brian now works as a free-lance teacher of English as a foreign language to business people. His interests include travel and gardening. He has been an EEAC committee member since 1999.

Elizabeth Vadillo (Treasurer)

Elizabeth was born and educated in Poland, where she studied English Language. Her professional career in the UK has been in Interpreting and Translating. She has a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting and Translating and is on the National Register of PSI. She is a member of the Institute of Linguists and a member of the Association Of Police and Court Interpreters. Elizabeth now works as a free-lance Interpreter and Translator for Public Service Organisations specialising in Law and Local Government. Her interests include theatre and art. She has been involved with EEAC since 1997 and joined the committee in 1999.
